Nejla Routsong is the Owner and Adventure Guide of Happy Karma Tours. 

Nejla was born to a Turkish mother and American father in Pleasant Lake, Indiana. After college, she moved to Istanbul, Turkey to acquaint herself with her mother's hometown and lived there for two years working in an international law firm.

She has a Bachelor's degree from DePauw University, where she studied Philosophy. She also has a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Kent.

In addition to traveling to 17 foreign countries, Nejla has lived in Brussels, Belgium; Portsmouth, England and Fresno, California. These days, Nejla lives in Bloomington, Indiana, where her favorite things to do include swimming and doing yoga at Indiana University, hiking in the woods, and walking dogs at the animal shelter. She is also certified by the American Red Cross in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR and AED.
